For new construction, we excel with a broad knowledge and experience for building in the North Woods.  We will visit each building site, even with you before you purchase, and offer a comprehensive opinion of its potential.   We can provide guidance with land use and sanitary system permits, overall buildability, set-backs of the buildings from the lake and/or property lines, lake classifications, wells, driveways, electrical and utility connectivity, zoning requirements, lot topography and other considerations that will affect all aspects of the process. Working with you, we will integrate each of the unique characteristics into the design and construction of your home.

Once the design is complete, Unique Retreat Builders is ready to set the roadmap and engage fully on each of the the necessary steps to make your retreat a reality.  

Contracts

We'll prepare a contract that formally details all the aspects of the construction.  This agreement will include a description of the responsibilities for each party, a summary of the materials and components to be used, warranty terms, and a payment schedule based upon construction phase completion (coordinated with your lending institution as appropriate).  Since your taste or desires may change during the process, provisions for jointly amending the contract are a part of the agreement from the start.  While we endeavor to keep paperwork to a minimum, we believe that a detailed contract is a very important element that affords a pleasant, professional atmosphere and complete peace of mind for all throughout the project. 

Construction and Completion

From the moment we break ground, we'll always have the appropriate work force on your job.  All of our subcontractors including Excavators, Plumbers, Foundation, Concrete and Masonry, Electrical, Heating and Air-conditioning, and others have proven records of excellence and hold all appropriate Wisconsin Credentials and insurance.  While these pedigrees are important, it's the finished project that really matters.  Unique Retreat will not leave your project until it is completed, and we'll keep you as apprised of our progress as frequently as you'd like.  You have our commitment that your retreat will be exactly as planned, and ready to enjoy for many years to follow.
